North Hamgyong Province has introduced a new method of vegetable cultivation using cylindrical devices into the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm.

In cooperation with researchers of the State Academy of Sciences, the province has installed several cylindrical vegetable cultivation devices in a 1 000-square-metre greenhouse.

The experimental cultivation opened up the possibility of boosting the production of greenhouse vegetables while shortening the period of growth.

The farm is now providing its employees with technical training on the operation of the cylindrical vegetable cultivation device and pushing ahead with the work to build more devices.
