Week-long film show opens in celebration of February holiday

A week-long film show opened in the DPRK in celebration of February 16, the birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Documentary films dealing with the immortal revolutionary exploits the Chairman performed for the Party and the revolution, the times and history and the history of revolutionary leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who continues a long journey of devotion to the people, and feature films on different themes will be shown at cinemas and halls of culture across the country.

An opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang International Cinema House on February 10.

Present there were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, officials, creators and artistes in the film sector and working people in Pyongyang.

Ri Song Un, director-general of the National Administration of Motion Picture Industry, made an opening address.

After the ceremony, the participants watched "Developing Our Party into an Invincible Revolutionary Party", part 6 of the Korean documentary film "General Kim Jong Il, Peerless Patriot".

Similar events took place in all provinces on the same day.
