New stamps issued
March 20, 2026The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK issued new stamps (two sheets and six individuals) in commemoration of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The individuals visually show the important tasks set forth by the Ninth Congress of the Party.
A stamp dealing with the issue of bringing about a fresh turn in strengthening the whole Party and developing its work reflects the idea of the WPK which called for dynamically conducting the three revolutions and embodying the principles and requirements of the five-point Party-building programme in the new era in its work and activities while invariably holding high the ideals of "The people are god", single-hearted unity and self-reliance as the banner of struggle and advance.
Another stamp bearing such letters as "Fully guaranteeing the growth and development of the overall economy by consolidating the production foundations of the key industry sectors in a qualitative way" suggests the importance of the duty and role of the metal, chemical, electric power, coal and machine-building industries in keeping going the comprehensive golden age of national rejuvenation.
One of the stamps reflects the need for the agricultural sector to hold fast to the seed revolution, scientific farming, tideland farming, double cropping and soil improvement as important guarantees for increased grain production and for the light industry sector to boost the production of consumer goods with the main stress put on the improvement of quality and development of new products and lay a new foundation for light industry.
Another stamp shows the appearance of the country where the capital city and provinces are simultaneously changing. Reflected in it is the patriotic enthusiasm and will of the Korean people to spruce up regions and the countryside every year through accelerated regional development and rural construction and turn Pyongyang into a world-class city through continuous construction projects.
There are also stamps reflecting the intention and will of the WPK that a bolder struggle should be waged for the development of science and technology and socialist culture and the building of powerful national defences.
