The 12th anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's assumption of the top posts of the Workers' Party of Korea and the state was significantly celebrated in the DPRK.

Witnessing continued victory and glory achieved under the leadership of the great Party, the Korean people more keenly realized that the dignity of the WPK has reached the highest level and a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation and great changes has been ushered in on this land, thanks to the peerlessly great man possessed of extraordinary political calibre, outstanding leadership ability and noble traits.

Officials, working people, service personnel and schoolchildren visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers.

Ardent reverence for the peerlessly great man was expressed at the venues of photo exhibitions held in Pyongyang and provinces, cities and counties.

The national flag was hoisted at major places of Pyongyang, provincial capitals and city and county seats and at institutions, industrial establishments and farms, and beautiful flowers in full bloom across the country added to the festive atmosphere.

Artistes of the National Acrobatic Troupe and the National Folk Art Troupe gave a joint performance at the Pyongyang Circus Theatre.

Artistic information groups of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and the railway artistic information team gave colourful performances in different parts of the capital city.

Dance parties of youth and students and women's union members took place across the country.
