There was the Olympic Day Fun Run-2023 in Sports Village on Chongchun Street in Pyongyang on June 23.
The event was attended by members of the DPRK Olympic Committee, sportspeople and students and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
Kim Il Guk, chairman of the DPRK Olympic Committee and also minister of Physical Culture and Sports, addressed the event.
Hoping that the commemorative event would serve as an occasion to implant into all the sportspeople the pride in being in direct charge of the development of the country’s sports, he declared the fun run open.
Then the race started.
Taking part in the race were meritorious athletes who had won Olympic Games and world championships, other sportspersons, students and schoolchildren.
Certificates of participation in the fun run were awarded to the participants.
