China urges Japan to reflect on its history of aggression
February 7, 2023A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry demanded that Japan seriously reflect on its history of aggression at a press conference on February 3.
Recently a protest demonstration took place in the Philippines as it has been revealed that the Japanese authorities did not include the fact about Japan’s past conscription of women for sexual slavery in a report they, in disregard of the neighbouring countries’ opposition, presented to the United Nations Human Rights Council to be used for the country-specific deliberation of human rights.
In a reply to a relevant question, the spokesman noted that the conscription of women for sexual slavery is a severe crime the Japanese militarists committed against humanity and that the historical fact cannot be denied because of clear evidence.
He urged Japan to seriously reflect on its history of aggression and reasonably and sincerely settle the conscription of women for sexual slavery and other matters left by history.
