The WHO announced that as of May 24 (Middle-European time), 766 895 075 persons were infected with COVID-19 and 6 935 889 died of it across the world.

According to the announcement the WHO made on the basis of the data put together at its regional offices, 276 390 270 persons infected with COVID-19 and 2 237 380 deaths from it were confirmed in Europe and the numbers on the Western Pacific coast are 203 669 467 and 411 963 respectively.

America and Southeast Asia witnessed registration of 192 775 054 and 61 155 081 cases of COVID-19 respectively.
