Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, on September 26 denounced an attack against the Cuban embassy in the US.

Referring to the fact that two fire bottles were thrown into the Cuban embassy, she said Russia strongly decries it and asserted that the attack should not be overlooked, that the criminals who organized the attack should be severely punished and that the US authorities should immediately carry out a careful investigation into the incident.

It was not the first time for the Cuban embassy to be attacked, she said, and disclosed that such acts have occurred as the atmosphere of threatening the Cuban government keeps growing in the US.

Demanding the US ensure the security of foreign diplomatic missions in its territory without condition, she stressed that Russia expresses solidarity with the friendly Cuban people and fully supports the Cuban government.
