The UN-based Iranian permanent mission recently sent a warning to the US and Israel in connection with the country’s military measure against Israel.

The measure was taken according to Article 51 of the UN Charter on the legitimate right to self-defence and in response to the fatal attack by Israel on the consular building of the Iranian embassy in Syria, it said.

It stressed that the countermeasure from the Islamic Republic of Iran will be fiercer and more gruesome in case Israel makes another mistake and urged the US not to poke its nose into the affair.

It also blamed the UN Security Council for failing to condemn the Israeli attack against the consular building and investigate the mastermind behind the attack.
