A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry rejected the argument of the US and Japan at the press conference on April 11.

In connection with the fact that the US president and Japanese prime minster issued a joint statement to blame China’s nuclear-related policy on April 10, he said that China resolutely opposes the misconduct of the US and Japan as an expression of false and sinister intention and can never accept it.

The wrongful conduct of the US and Japan destroyed the strategic balance and stability in the world and region, hindered the process of international arms control and disturbed regional peace and stability, he criticized. 

Referring to the fact that his country enforces the policy of not using nuclear weapons first, he noted that if they do not use nuclear weapons against China, no country should feel any threat from China’s nuclear weapons.

He added that the US and Japan should reflect on themselves and take a right attitude.
