A spokesman for the Chinese Defence Ministry announced China’s stand to counter the US’ deployment of intermediate-range missiles at a press conference on April 25.

Earlier, the US made public that it finished the deployment of the missiles in the north of Luzon of the Philippines. Some analysts assert that they can hit the coast of China.

As to this, the spokesman stated that China adamantly opposes the US’ missile deployment in the Asia-Pacific region.

The US’ moves to deploy missiles seriously threatening the security of the regional countries and disturbing the regional peace and stability will surely be met with resolute countermeasures of China, he stressed.
